Royal Tat
Just in case you hadn’t heard – Prince William weds Kate Middleton on April 29th, 2011.
Cue Royal Wedding tat.
Seriously?
So now everyone is rushing out to buy sapphire rings:
The bunting is going up:
More tat in central London. I find the postcard above a bit freaky. The comparisons between Diana and Kate are inevitable, but in all seriousness I hope the paparazzi have learnt their lesson, though I’d imagine most are still heartless and hungry for the front page of the Sun. Anything to pay the bills, right?
You can literally eat the royal couple.
The owner of this shop told me most people who buy this stuff are Canadian and American.
There’s no escaping wedding fever. The crowds on the day should make for some interesting images.
These were taken on the last day of my last job, at 645am in the Square Mile.
I miss the City, but now I get to look over it so it’s not all bad. I can’t really complain!
I don’t think I’ll get bored of taking pictures of this view, even if people are bored of seeing them. I plan to do a timelapse over the course of a day : )
A £1000 dog:
My friend Ricki came to visit from Israel for a week :D
Amusing to watch men wait in girly shops. I’d be bored, too.
Probably our most civilised day of the week – Kew Gardens.
Ricki studies plant science so she’s absolutely fascinated by all things botanical, which, to be honest, I know or knew little about. Interesting stuff.
There were more band members than audience members at 93 Feet East in Brick Lane:
French band BB Brunes at the Borderline. Probably my favourite gig venue in London.
Jazz Club:
Fabric:
Do not go to the techno night unless you’re high on something. Great for people who love a change in key every hour.
Dance-off at Trocadero
Some pictures from a couple of months ago in Switzerland:
Best kebab ever from a place called Istanbul in Geneva, and at 25 Swiss Francs, probably the most expensive:
Buena Vista Social Club at the Royal Albert Hall = amazing. Supporting was Omara Portuondo:
Check both bands out if you don’t know them.
That concludes a random assortment of images.
